Its VISION is to be the preferred telecommunications company wherever its network and/or services are present. The vision translates to a BUSINESS OBJECTIVE of increasing its annual revenue by 5X in 5years.
RE-ENGINEERING EASTERN
To achieve this goal, EASTERN is prioritizing work in 5 key STRATEGIC areas.
1.
INFRASTRUCTURE with priority being the expansion of the backhaul into Tagaytay and Batangas and making it operational and commercial by start of 2009 . With this, EASTERN will be able to accomplish the following:
- Expand its franchise to win clients in Cavite and Laguna
- Utilize our idle submarine cables
- Faster, Reliable Services
- Competitive pricing
EASTERN also plans expand its network through the LRT and MRT lines which will provide services stemming from each of the stations. This will benefit establishments, institutions and residences along the metro line.

SYSTEMS with the priority being the Business Support System (or BSS). It is a customer care, billing & collection, service provisioning and interconnection system all rolled into one. This new SYSTEMS also enables EASTERN to
- ORGANIZE information for making better business decisions;
- PROACTIVELY define target clients to enhance speed and precision in Customer acquisition; Customer Care processes and Product innovation.
The Business Support System (or BSS) will be the cornerstone for ensuring network efficiency and operational responsiveness. We expect this to be on line by end 2008

CORPORATE and FINANCIAL GOVERNANCE with three priority areas.
- Establishing better MANAGEMENT CONTROL and INSIGHT particularly as it relates to understanding the needs and servicing of our customers via the BSS initiative.
- Optimizing the financial efficiencies of EASTERNs CORE BUSINESS PROCESSES.

SYNCHRONICITY in SALES, MARKETING and INNOVATION initiatives that are driven by the following:
- Understanding where the potential customers are and define their emerging needs.
- Develop Value-added-services that ENABLES the target customers to do their business better.
- Optimize Marketing and Sales resources to create broader awareness and stronger demand for EASTERN products. This will be done via a synchronized Selling, Marketing and Customer Care program

ORGANIZATION which started first with the REORGANIZATION of the MANAGEMENT TEAM. This LEADERSHIP re-engineering reflects how the company will deploy its strategies and how the work will be done. This will filter down to the rest of the organization to achieve the following
- Attract and retain the talents we need to support our priority infrastructure, system, process and innovation programs.
- Help the department heads enhance competency and productivity of their work teams.
- Develop each employees bias towards quality and excellence
- Enhance leadership and people management skills
