Eastern Communications organized its 1st Invitational Golf Tournament in its Laguna/Cavite franchise as part of the company’s effort to expand services to the ecozones. Eastern has built a 240-kilometer redundant fiber network that extends from the Makati office to Cavite, Laguna to the submarine cable landing in Nasugbu, Batangas. This enables coverage of the majority of ecozones in these areas. Eastern now provides business grade, high speed, reliable and highly customizable Eastern services to LISP I locators.
The tournament was held at Sta. Elena Golf Club – Sta. Rosa Laguna, last May 23, 2012. Exclusive for Light Industry and Science Park I (LISP I) locators and invited guests, Eastern gathered players from different companies to create camaraderie, to compete, and to enjoy the moment where they can show-off their skills.
The game format is System 36, and the ceremonial Tee-off done by Celebrity guest players Vic Sotto, Anjo Yllana and Ms. Fanny Wu from Procter and Gamble signaled the start of the tournament. Event partners Sledgers, Citibank, Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning, Tourmaster, RiteMED, and Rebisco, added excitement to the day by providing prizes, booth gimmicks, and freebies all throughout the event. No one went home empty handed as all players and non-playing guests were able to win awards or receive gift items.
